Seminars & training
How to put seminar slides, a survey and a map on one page
Seminars and training mean handing attendees several links — handouts, a survey, a venue map, the timetable. Pasting many URLs into an email gets messy. Put them on one page and share by QR, and attendees can open them all at once. It auto-deletes afterwards, so time-limited links are safe to include.
Create this page →What to put on the page
- The timetable (with breaks and Q&A)
- Download links for handouts and slides
- A survey or Q&A form link
- Venue map, Wi-Fi and restroom info
- Speaker names and an organiser contact
Where to post the QR
- A name card or handout cover at reception
- On the first and last slide
- A card at the entrance or on tables
- In your pre-event email
When to create it
Build it a few days ahead and share the URL by email so attendees can access materials beforehand. Keep the survey open a little afterwards, so choose a longer expiry (or re-create after the event).
Recommended expiry 7 days (covers pre-share through the post-event survey)
Keeping personal data off the page
- Don't post the attendee list or applicants' personal data
- Restrict limited-access material on the file side too (e.g. internal-only)
- "Link + passphrase" keeps the survey and materials to attendees only
Worked example
Here's roughly how it looks once built. It auto-deletes when it expires.
Timetable
- 13:00 Open
- 13:15 Talk
- 14:30 Break
- 14:45 Q&A
Tips for using it well
- Label each link block (materials / survey / map) to reduce mis-taps
- Set a passphrase and say it aloud at reception to prevent leaks
- To lift survey response, show the QR on screen right after the session
