Sharing tips
When to share by URL and when to use a QR code
Every Nobo Page can be shared as a URL or as a QR code. The content is identical either way, but choosing whether to "send" it or "show" it — based on who you're reaching and where — makes it land far more easily.
Try creating a page →When a URL works best
- Reaching people you already have a channel to — chat, email, social DMs
- When you want them to tap and open it straight from their phone
- When you want to embed it as a link inside some text
A URL copies and pastes in an instant, and the other person just taps to open. When you know the contact and want it to land for sure, a URL is the fastest, most reliable route.
When a QR code works best
- Posting on paper or a screen — a poster, flyer, storefront or venue
- Letting whoever is there scan it on the spot
- When you don't know (or won't ask for) the person's contact details
A QR code opens by just pointing a camera at it — no typing a URL. For "post it and let people notice it" situations, a QR code wins hands down.
- Only the View (read-only) link can become a QR code in Nobo Page. The Edit and Admin links can't, so posting a QR never leaks edit access.
When in doubt, use both
Post a QR code and send the URL to the people you need to reach directly — together they catch everyone. Both point at the same page, so either way opens the same up-to-date content.
